GLOBAL CURRICULUM

     I had inadequate idea about ‘Global Curriculum’. I did not know what to write about exactly. I did some research to learn on the internet. I got some information about topic and understood what ‘Global Curriculum’ is. Am I agree or disagree with ‘Global Curriculum’?. I do not know the answer to this yet.  You can see the answer to this as you reading. So do I.

     I want to mention what ‘Global Curriculum’ is.  It is based on the goals of a long life and happiness. Currently, the common global curriculum is based on the historical policy goals of economic and military development. Students are treated as human capital. This global curriculum divides knowledge into separate courses taught in age-based classrooms. In contrast to this, human rights and environmental educators have adapted progressive methods.

     I would like to compare old high school curriculum and global curriculum. Then, you can understand which one is better than the other.

     In old high school cirriculum, main goal is to get a good job. There is rote learning, teaching to the test, “vertical” curriculum structure, multiple disconnected subjects, no holistic presentation, euro-centered history. Mechanistic paradigm is science and history. This is very specialized. In this cirriculum, values do not taught directly. There is no philosophy. There is conventional agriculture. Their students should be competitive person. There is multiple choice tests. Grammar is essential. There is a career guidance.

     In global curriculum, developing self-learning changing agent is important. Holistic critical thinking is also important. Organic paradigm is science and history. There is “horizontal” core curriculum structure, single multidisciplinary narrat. Presentation is chronological and global. Its history of evolving east-west thought. This curriculum apply generalist, multidisciplinary core. Values taught directly. There is cooperative team learning. One of the most important things is ‘Essays’. This system’s goal is to develop writing skills and workshops. The other important thing is to learn how to be a change agent.

     The purpose of education is to provide each member of society the capability to contribute to the collective goals, of that society where these goals are based around the accepted values of the community and that those goals and values are based on the historical and cultural wisdom of that community.

     If we look at comparisons, we can understand which one is more useful. I think ‘Global Curriculum’ is more useful for students. It is certain clear from its features. Every country should apply this. Turkey also should apply this. Then, Turkey can be much more sophisticated country. I certainly support ‘Global Curriculum’ because of its useful features.

     There are a lot of terms used to describe computers. Most of these words imply the size, expected use or capability of the computer. Most people think of a computer as a device that receives information from the user. Computers can be divided into five types according to the purpose they are used for and their capabilities.

     The most familiar type of computers is the personal computer (PC). It designed for general use by a single person. PCs were first known as microcomputers because they were a complete computer but built on a smaller scale than the huge systems. A PC can come in two types in appearance as well. Desktop and laptop. The former is not designed for portability. The expectation with desktop systems is that you will set the computer up in a permanent location. Most desktops offer more power, storage and versatility for less cost than their portable ones. On the other hand, the laptops - also called notebooks - are portable computers that integrate the display, keyboard, a pointing device, processor, memory and hard drive all in a battery-operated package slightly larger than an average hardcover book.

     Another purpose for using a computers is as a workstation. The computers used for this purpose have a more powerful processor, additional memory and enhanced capabilities for performing a special group of task, such as 3D Graphics or game development.  

     A computer can also be used as a server. For this, it needs to be optimized to provide services to other computers over a network. Servers usually have powerful processors, lots of memory and large hard drives. 

     A fourth type, a main frame is the heart of a network of computers which allow hundreds of people to work at the same time on the same data. It is indispensable for the business world. 

     Sometimes, computers can be used for specialized fields as well. The supercomputer is the top in power and expense. It is used for jobs that take massive amounts of calculating, like weather forecasting, engineering design and testing, serious decryption, and economic forecasting.

     With the increasing demand in different specialties, new adjustments are being made and new types of computers that serve different purposes emerge. In this process, it would not possible to put a full stop here. What we suggest is that it is better to keep en eye on the development of science in this field and keep updating our knowledge in order not to be out-of-date like the computers of old times that were as big as a room.

A GAME ISN’T ‘THE GAME’

     Every game can’t be a game every time. Maybe,  game isn’t a game. It’s name may be different. Called ‘the game’ may not be the game. Let’s try to understand what is it that we called ‘game’.

     In this film , there is something misleading. We can think both there is a game and there isn’t a game. I think there isn’t any game. So, what were the all things that experienced? If it isn’t a game, what is it? To find the answer these questions, let’s review the film.

     I won’t  tell the whole film. You already know what was happened.  I will give just a few examples to prove that it isn’t a game. Actually, it is too complicated. I even find it hard to understand. Anyway, I’ll try to explain that it isn’t a game.

     In the film, there are some scenes and events that they prove that there isn’t a game. When Nicholas went to CRS, he asked what they were doing. Justice replied that there was a game. If there was a game, why Justice said it. Also, game must be funny. But if it was a game, why this game didn’t make Nicholas happy.  On the contrary, there were dangerous things that they could kill Nicholas. They were only arrangements to celebrate the Nichola’s birthday. Nicholas had everything. He was an investment banker. Nicholas had so a lot of money that it could be meaningless to gift him an ordinary gift. So, his brother thought to arrange something different to Nicholas. He accomplished it. Nicholas had a thing that it never can’t  be his. He had the meaning of life thanks to his brother’s birhday gift. His brother gave this gift to Nicholas. It wasn’t a game. It was a gift. One who had all things understood the meaning of life. In this gift, not a game, Nicholas experienced everything. He felt fear. He experienced poverty. He was faced with death. This gift was a really useful gift for Nicholas to understand that life wasn’t having everything. I want to touch on a point. Actually, Nicholas was a weak man personally.  Namely, he wanted to die when he shot his brother. There wasn’t any thing anymore. He hadn’t anything. Nicholas lost everything.  He shot and killed his brother on the top of it. Eventually, he wanted to die. But he didn’t die. Because of his brother’s gift, he survived.

     All of things were a gift to Nicholas from his brother. A gift that everyone should experience it. Although we haven’t got everything like Nicholas, we also don’t know the meaning of our lifes. I wish someone would gave me such an extraordinary gift. Then, I even could understand the meaning of my life.

WHY STUDENTS SHOULD EAT BREAKFAST EVERY DAY?

     A lot of people, especially young people, spend  their day without having breakfast. Many people believe that it is not necessary, or they say that they don’t have time for breakfast, and they begin their day without breakfast. I believe that everyone should eat breakfast before going to their activities. The purpose of this subject is to show the importance of breakfast, especially for students. 

     The first reason why you should eat breakfast before going to school is for your health. When you skip breakfast and go to school, you catch an illness  because it’s not healthy to have an empty stomach all day long. It’s very important to have a meal and not let your stomach work empty. You are going to get a lot of problems with your health if you don’t eat breakfast. 

    Another reason for eating breakfast is because you need food for to do well in your classes. Your body and your brain are not going to function as good as they could because you have no energy and no strength. When you try to learn something and have nothing in your stomach, you are going to have a lot of trouble. A lot of people think that they should not eat because they are going to feel tired, but that’s not true. Breakfast is not a very big meal, and on the contrary, you’re going to feel tired if you don’t have breakfast because you have spent the entire previous night without food. 

     The last reason to have breakfast every day is because you can avoid diseases if you eat some breakfast in the morning. If you don’t eat, you are going to get sick, and these diseases will have a stronger effect on you because you’re going to get sick easier than people who have breakfast every day. 

     You have to realize that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you cannot skip it without consequences for your health, your school and defense yourself. It is better to wake up earlier and have a good breakfast than going to school without eating anything. It is time for you to do something for your health, and eating breakfast is the better way to start your day.

INFRASTRUCTURE GIANT LEAP OF 100 YEARS

     The  problem... This problem which lasted for a few years. Municipality of Denizli initiated a study to solve the problem of infrastructure. Launching such a study is really nice. But the style of practice is not useful at all. I want to explain a few things about why the style of practice is not useful at all.

     Before the infrastructure works started, infrastructure was a too big problem for the Denizli. Drinking water was very dirty and limy. Everywhere was flood when it rained because of the old rain water pipes. Sewer pipes were old as well. There was a never-ending foul odors in Denizli. People were fed-up because of these problems. There must have a solution. The problem of infrastructure must have been solved. The municipality deal with this problem and infrastructure work began.

     The people of Denizli were very hopeful so that the problem would be solved. Infrastructure problem would be solved. Drinking water would be clean. When it rained, there wouldn’t be flood. There wouldn’t be strange smeels in Denizli streets.

     It wasn’t as expected. As studies increased, people's patience was fading. More problems began to occur. Roads were repeatedly excavated. Opening, closing, opening, closing… An excavated road was re-excavated. Bus routes changed every minute. Drivers did not know where to go because of the closed roads. This problem was not one day or two days or three days. This problem was experienced more than 2 years. Closed roads made people nervous. Maybe everything would be fine. The only thing that the municipality wanted us is ‘PATIENCE’. But patience was fading.

     Infrastructure work was about to end. Papers was hung on some parts of the city to announce that the works would be finished. But it was not still ending. People began to uprisings and complaints. The municipality evaluated them and apologized for the problems. At the and infrastructure works over. Alright, was the problem solved?

     The problem wasn’t solved. Drinking water was still dirty. Changing pipes was inefficiency. The flood problem continued when it rained. Also, when it rained, strange smells emerged. People were very nervous to municipality. Despite so much suffering, everything was in vain. There was nothing to do.

      In conclusion, anything wasn’t changed. Infrastructure problems continued. The only thing changing was the people’s opinion to municipality. Municipality became the owner of the enemy. People wish such a inefficient work had not been.

*BREATHING!

     Actually, my ideal husband can be like the first one (age 22). Probably, i want too things. There is no perfect man. I would like excellence although i know it is impossible.

     I have big dreams. I want to a husband whom i share my whole life with. One of the features that i want is he should be honest to me. He shouldn’t say a lie to me whatever will be. I should trust him. He should be trusted himself. The most important thing is he must treat me good.  His voice shouldn’t increase against me. He shouldn’t beat me. He shouldn’t hurt me.

      Even if there are more beautiful woman than me, he shouldn’t realize them. He should think that i am the must attractive women in the world. Even if it isn’t so. I want my husband listen to me with interest. I don’t want to feel that he isn’t listening to me. If i’m telling something to him, he should listen to me looking at my eyes. I want to talk to him in all subjects. I should get along with him. I should listen to him, too. He may feels what i feel.  He must understand me when he look my eyes.

     It better he has a sense of humour. I prefer to laugh with him instead of crying. He should make me laugh. I can die while laughing. Even if his jokes aren’t funny, I must laugh. The same way that he must laugh. Everything must be mutual.

     One of the most important things is he should has a good job. He should earn money for us. He shouldn’t be so rich. It can be enough to provide our need. We have get less money, but we can be happy.

     I sometimes want small surprises. He should know how he’ll make me happy. I can give him some clues. He can buy a red rose to me. He can prepare breakfast for me. He can buy a single stone ring or a couple of a earring. It’s only a joke. If he smile at me one time, it is enough for me to be happy.

     When we have a child, he shouldn’t love him/her so much than me. I can be jeaolus. He can love us equally. If we have a child, he should care for him/her. When I am tired, he should say me: ‘ Oh! My love, come on! İ can look after our baby. It’s our baby, not only yours. You can trust me.’ I hope that i’ll have such a thoughtful husband.

    Not only in baby sitting, he should help me in the kitchen. I know that ı want  too much thnigs to come true. Alright! I don’t say that he must be cooking, ı want only some help. We can have a good time. 

     Actually, I want something like that everyone wants. Honesty, loyalty, understanding, sense of humour, good job, help… As I said, there is no perfect man. I’m not looking for a perfect man. I’m only looking for a man who will love love me forever. When I'm a old women, one will be by my side. One will be die with me...
